Samsung Galaxy Note 3 panel leaked next to Note 2

Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 fascia has been pictured next to that of its predecessor

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has appeared in a picture online showing its front panel side-by-side with that of its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 2.
The image comes from Japanese tech blog rbmen and GSMArena points out that the shot is a composite ‘of two separate shots that have been scaled to match the alleged 5.7-inch diagonal of the Note 3’. In which case, we’re taking this one with a hefty dose of salt.
But, fake or not, the image does give us a good idea of the scale difference between the Galaxy Note 3 and its predecessor, assuming that rumoured 5.7-inch display is correct. The rest of the design also looks quite realistic, in the sense that it’s a slightly more squared-off version of the Galaxy Note 2 and slightly larger with a narrower bezel, but still retains the rounded corners and Samsung’s preferred positioning of the company logo, buttons and speaker port.
According to the report that display bezel along the sides measures only 2.2mm. The result is that despite packing a bigger screen the Galaxy Note 3 is not much larger than the Galaxy Note 2 overall, something which was previously rumoured. Some reports say the Galaxy Note 3 will be a thinner device too.
The rest of the rumoured specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (for the international version), a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a full HD 1080p display resolution. Samsung is going to announce the device ahead of IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany at a special Samsung Unpacked event on September 4.
